Three slice myocardial coverage using non-ECG-triggered perfusion imaging with integrated T1 mapping for quantifying myocardial blood flow

چکیده
Background A single-bolus non-ECG-triggered method was previously proposed to reduce the complexity of quantitative myocardial perfusion imaging [1]. Compared to conventional dual-bolus method, the arterial input function (AIF) is derived from imaging data, eliminating the need for an additional scan. The imaging workflow is further simplified by retrospectively determining the proper reconstruction window, eliminating the dependency on ECG triggering. However, only a single slice was acquired. In this work, we expand upon the previous technique to 3 slices using highly constrained back projection (HYPR) reconstruction to achieve clinically acceptable myocardial coverage.

Non-ECG-triggered perfusion imaging with integrated T1 mapping for quantifying myocardial blood flow
Background The dual bolus method is conventionally used for quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF). The method necessitates an additional scan for each first-pass measurement, which increases total scan time and is sensitive to change in heart rates between the two scans. A single scan method to measure the arterial input function (AIF) using highly constrained back projection (HYPR) rec...
متن کاملRelationship between Baseline ECG Abnormalities and Quantitative Perfusion Parameters of Myocardial Perfusion Findings
Background: Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is one of the major causes of mortality in most countries. Electrocardiography (ECG) and myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) are non-invasive disgnostic tests for CAD. Finding a relationship between abnormal findings in the baseline ECG and MPI findings can be helpful in better diagnosis of CAD. Materials and Methods: The present study examined ECG of pa...
متن کاملQuantification of septal and whole slice myocardial blood flow by myocardial perfusion CMR is similar in healthy volunteers
Background First pass myocardial perfusion CMR allows quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF). MBF estimation with whole-heart tissue response may be useful in a variety of systemic diseases, but can be limited by suboptimal imaging in one or more segments. The interventricular septum (IVS) offers an attractive target for MBF imaging, as it offers higher signal and less partial volume art...
متن کاملComparison of dipyridamole – induced electrocardiographic changes and myocardial perfusion imaging in diagnosis of coronary artery disease [Persian]
Introduction: This study evaluated the diagnostic value of the dipyridamole induced electrocardiuogram (ECG) cahnges, comparing with myocardial perfusion imaging. Materials and Methods: 222 patinets were studied with dipyridamole infusion (based on ECG criteria) as well as Dipyridamole-myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). Results: Abnormal dipyridamole test and abnormal MPI were noted in 1...
متن کاملStress and rest dynamic myocardial perfusion imaging by evaluation of complete time-attenuation curves with dual-source CT.
OBJECTIVES This study sought to describe a protocol for myocardial perfusion imaging using dipyridamole stress, with 128-slice dual-source computed tomography (CT), and to assess the ability of CT myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) to detect abnormal flow reserve and infarction in comparison with nuclear MPI (NMPI). BACKGROUND CT MPI has not been previously described with the 128-slice dual-s...
